The Eco-Impact of No Printing Plates

Switch to our Digital Label printing and you'll be transitioning to a more eco-friendly label printing process. Our Digital Label printing does not use film and polymer printing plates. This eliminates two machines and several chemicals used to prepare the film and plates. These chemicals are often volatile compounds that are inventoried in drums that are eventually picked up and disposed of by waste management companies. Ink Selection

Our Digital printing process uses ElectroInks from Hewlett-Packard. They are FDA-compliant for food packaging. Additionally, ElectroInks do not contain any substances on the federal list of hazardous air pollutants under section 112 of the Federal Clean Air Act, or any chemicals on California’s Prop 65 list. Most importantly, our HP Indigo digital printing process reduces ink and paper waste to very low levels relative to conventional printing processes.
